Business Development Executive

Business Development Executive in Bournemouth - Our client is looking to recruit a driven and capable Business Development Executive located in the Bournemouth area, to target and win new business within the UK Language School sector, to support growth targets. This is a home-based role working a sales territory on the south coast. The business is based in Warrington, Cheshire so a proven ability to work under your own steam without needing to have a local office, is essential. You must have previous experience of working remotely and show high levels of organisation and motivation to meet targets, independently. Duties and Responsibilities: To plan for, implement and take ownership of the sales process for language schools, right through from initial cold calling to final close; To assist customers and internal staff with the customer on-boarding process; To take responsibility for the customer relationship with new customers acquired, for a minimum of 12 months after close date and work to maximise revenues through effective relationship management; To acquire a high level of product and sector knowledge; To record all activities in and generate reports from the CRM system. The following skills & qualifications are essential: Experience of working in a business to business sales role; Competency in Microsoft office tools, particularly PowerPoint with good presentation skills; The ability to work on own initiative and manage own time; Experience of implementing and managing sales process from cold calling through to deal closure; Excellent time management and organisational skills; Experience of working with a CRM system – ideally Salesforce.com; Experience of a consultative sales process Candidates who can offer any of the following will be at an advantage: Experience of selling services to, or working within the language school sector; Experience of selling international payment services; Experience of working in an organisation that is regulated by the FSA (Financial Services Authority) and HMRC (Her Majesty’s Revenue & Customs)for anti-money-laundering; Existing network of contacts within language schools or universities; Experience of working within the wider youth and educational travel sector. The initial salary for the post will be circa £22,000 per annum, with an annual OTE of around £30,000 per annum+. You will be eligible for a car allowance of £400 per month. A blackberry, laptop and internet access will also be provided. Some travel will be required as part of the role – although the majority of this will be confined to the south coast. Once a month you will be required to attend a monthly meeting at the main office in Warrington.
