Account Director

Account Director in Southampton - Our client is seeking an Account Director with a strong marketing background, healthcare experience and a good network of contacts, business development experience/capability and leadership skills to grow and expand the current team. They are looking for someone who is as happy bringing in new clients as managing relationships with existing ones. The successful candidate will need to have a hands-on attitude within a developing team, taking day-to-day responsibility for accounts as well as working on marketing strategy and business development, where your knowledge and good contacts will be important. There will be some UK and occasional European/international travel. The role does revolve around PR, so media knowledge and writing will be involved. You’ll also be managing marketing communications activities – advertising, e-marketing, exhibitions etc – so variation is to be expected. It is essential that applicants have Agency or in-house PR/marketing communications experience – ideally in the healthcare sector, the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects, be confident and enthusiastic, have great communication skills and be 100% professional and dependable A Degree or additional marketing qualification would be ideal.
