Senior Web Applications Developer in Bournemouth - Our client is currently looking for a Senior Web Applications Developer. In this position you will have a key role in developing high-quality web applications with additional responsibility for the technical quality of production, ensuring that the company meets client requirements, and conformity to any digital strategy. The ideal candidate should have a degree incorporating Software Engineering practices, have a passion for digital technology, be dedicated and enjoy working as part of a team. It is essential that candidates have experience in the following areas and will be able to demonstrate their use in a commercial environment: .NET 2.0 (VB.Net/ASP.Net) programming, MS SQL Server 2000/2005 (including stored procedures and user defined functions), very good XML and XSLT knowledge, Webservice/XML feed integration and development, development of web application front ends (good working knowledge of XHTML, Javascript and CSS), and knowledge of Visual Studio 2005 or above. Knowledge of an AJAX library such as Prototype or jQuery would be an advantage. A background in, or knowledge of, the travel industry would be an advantage, but is not essential.
