Sales Support Team Leader

Sales Support Team Leader in Poole - The post holder will be responsible for building and managing all customer relationships in their territory. The post holder will develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all customers using a combination of personal representation and electronic media. The post holder will work very closely with other team members and be an integral part of the business providing external and internal customers with accurate and timely information meeting their needs. Working closely with HR, the post holder will implement learning and development initiatives to enhance their own effectiveness. They will develop the quality of the delivery of customer care working closely with the Vice President of Operations and Production. Major Responsibilities Create a centre of excellence and ultimately provide an unparalleled service for our customers. Be able to work to deadlines. Ensure that departmental and company standards are met at all times Work closely with all distributors on sales forecasts and pipelines Work with all departments to ensure that customer expectations and requirements are met. Take ownership of all aspects of designated Customer requirements from receipt to resolution. Be aware of the commercial implications of trading terms versus client activity and make recommendations to the Vice President of Operations and production on appropriate action. Actively work with the team to plan and evaluate skills of all members, support them in their learning and development activities, and provide evidence for their career development. Teaching and role modelling to ensure the team meets the needs of the business. Support the Vice President of Operations and Production to produce accurate and timely management information whilst achieving key result areas. Work with others to devise and deliver innovative solutions to reduce costs and maximise customer spending. Assist the organisation generally by developing and promoting systems that support the establishment of competency across the business. Ensure accurate records are regularly maintained using IT and manual systems as appropriate. To liaise with the Vice President of Operations and Production and Sales Heads to arrange and attend appropriate client review meetings. Keep abreast of competition and electronic trends Travel as needed Ad hoc projects as required Position Qualifications Experience: 3 years experience in a Customer Service Representative / Sales Support role. Experience working with or at manager level is essential. Experience working in the library sector is desirable. Able to liaise with the customers to identify reasons for losing business and finding ways to win that business back is essential. Experience working within a sales environment is desirable. The ability to analyse and evaluate learning and development needs is essential. The ability to develop proactive account management and sales support skills is essential Experience working in a team. Commercial awareness decision-making. Track record of building and maintaining customer relationships. To be able to arrange and attend appropriate client review meetings. Good communication skills, written, verbal and numerical. Computer Literate on Excel, word, Internet and other databases Previous work with websites Good knowledge of ebooks Good people skills Good communication skills, both written and verbal Education: Educated to degree standard with a proven ability for self learning and development Personal Characteristics: Able to prioritise and manage own workload. Salary: £22000 - £27000 per annum
