New Business Account Handler

Our Ringwood based client is currently looking to recruit a New Business Account Handler. In this role you will: Obtain new Commercial lines insurance clients through prospecting and referrals from existing clients; Take instructions/discuss customer requirements involving client visits as required for provision of insurance cover from new Commercial prospects; Prepare presentations to Insurers, input details online or telephone for quotes; Review clients insurance needs and make presentations and recommendations based on information gathered; Issue hold covered letters, cover notes (computerised or manual) and policy documents checking for accuracy prior to issue; Deal with mid-term policy queries, issue endorsements where applicable; Re-broke renewals if increase in premium unacceptable and relay results to customer to enable decision to be made making recommendations accordingly; Manage own files/dead correspondence as per procedures manual; Take details of claims notified and report to insurers. Monitor progress of claims and ensure conclusion. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of FSA regulations and guidelines relating to Commercial and Retail customers. You will also have a willingness to continue to develop knowledge of products and related issues through formal and informal learning, both internally and externally. The ideal candidate must be able to apply own judgement and experience when making decisions or giving advice to clients. You must have the ability to prioritise and organise your own workload, the ability to develop and sustain relationships with customers, working under pressure when necessary and have good computer skills including MS Word and Windows. Claims Handler

Our Ringwood based client is looking to recruit a Motor Claims Handler to deal with the mitigation and processing of all hire and non-hire claims. Duties will involve: Ensuring claim is handled as per the company's process requirements; Ensuring all hire costs incurred are recoverable by senior claims department; Ensuring hire is utilised to its full potential whilst out on hire and that vehicle is required; Extending hire periods; Managing repair-tracking system to mitigate repair period to vehicle; Dealing first hand with customer enquiries; Liability negotiation in order to source settlement for client; Sending repair paperwork to relevant departments; Ensuring all details are correct and contact numbers relevant; Housekeeping of claim. The successful candidate will have the following skills & knowledge: Claims handling knowledge; Understanding of insurance sector; IT Literate or trained to above basic standard; Understanding of ABI GTA; Understanding of the FSA. The ideal candidate will have a level headed approach to communication with clients and staff members, the ability to remain focused on the task in hand and the ability to work as part of a team.
