Supply Chain Analyst

Our Poole based client is currently looking to recruit a Supply Chain Analyst for their Operations Department. They are specifically looking for candidates with at least 5 years experience in supply chain – supplier to retail, experience working with China and excellent working knowledge of Excel at an advanced level. Purpose of Job/Scope of Work: Use analytical and quantitative methods to understand, forecast and enhance the supply chain process. Support the logistics team to ensure forecasting and planning of stock movement is at an optimum whilst keeping to the budgetary requirements. Main Duties and Responsibilities: Analyse data, including lead times and MOQ; Plan and schedule product availability; Help with planning seasonal stock inputs, new range changes and stock exit; Optimise stock holding ensuring control of the budget; Forecast order requirements to the supplier base; Monitor resolution of service issues; To provide support to the Supply Chain manager; Support the purchasing team on all supply related topics; Reporting using Crystal Reporting System; Monitoring stock movement; Producing forecasts; Communicating with Far East Suppliers/UK customers to plan product availability; Required to make decisions based on established processes and procedures in relation to own job. Compliance: Comply with relevant legal/regulatory requirements and Company standards and procedures. Customer Care: Provide efficient and friendly service to customers at all times; Seek feedback from customers to ensure that customer expectations and requirements are being met; Liaise effectively with all departments to ensure customers requirements are known and met; Problem solve where necessary any customer dissatisfaction. The successful candidate must have supply chain experience - placing orders, expediting, tracking shipments, arranging deliveries with warehouses, processing. Forecasting & scheduling experience from the Far East is essential. You must also have a high level of communication skills (i.e. aggressive negotiating skills) with attention to detail (china factories, internal departments, warehouses) and a high level of I.T skills, especially Excel.
