Lettings Manager - Basingstoke

Our client is looking to recruit a Lettings Manager for its office based in Basingstoke. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly successful chain of national estate agents. This role involves setting up a brand new lettings division in an already established and successful residential sales branch. This is a great chance to run and manage your own team. Previous experience as a Senior Lettings Negotiator / Lettings Manager is essential. Key responsibilities: Maximise the overall income and profitability of your branch; Recruit, induct, train and manage a small team; Maintain adequate applicant register; Maintain regular contact with the company’s clients; Ensure all appointments are entered into the office diary; Ensure the placement of timely advertisements within the expenditure limits set by your Area Director and monitor responses; Process tenant applications in accordance with company policy; Qualify landlords and tenants according to company policy and in particular in accordance with the information required for completion of tenant and landlord cards/forms; Ensure all sign ups are dealt with efficiently and explanations are provided to tenants where necessary; Ensure all tenants are aware of their insurance responsibilities and endeavour to sell suitable insurance at every opportunity; Carry out viewings and market appraisals in a professional and efficient manner when required; Ensure you and your team comply at all times with all legislative requirements and company directives, policies and procedures; Carry out ad hoc projects at the request of your Area Director and others as and when required. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, highly organised and target orientated with a proven track record of achievement. Previous customer service and supervisory experience is desirable. Excellent Written and Verbal communication skills are essential as is the ability to develop and maintain internal/external relationships. You must have the ability to work to strict deadlines and to remain calm and professional at all times. You must also be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel and you must be a car owner with a full, clean driving licence. Salary – Basic £20k to £24k plus – 6 mth OTE guarantee of £27k to £30k DOE.
