Legal job offers (other)PADue to recent growth, our Dorchester based client is looking to recruit a PA. This is a 1:1 role providing secretarial assistance to a very busy Landlaw Partner who already has a part-time secretary. Whilst it is a 1:1 role there will be times that the PA will be expected to help elsewhere in the firm if necessary. Our client is ideally looking for someone with experience in residential and commercial land law. Experience in either residential or commercial conveyancing is however essential. Scope of Job: - Responsible for equipment allocated to employee - Correspondence: To produce daily correspondence and documentation from Partner’s dictation/instruction. - Processing of all correspondence and documentation - Maintain filing system to provide maximum support to Partner. Main Duties and Responsibilities: To use the correct office and Quality systems and procedures in accordance with the Office Manual and the Quality Manual and Policy; To deal with telephone calls when Partner or other secretaries are not available and to ensure all messages are passed on as quickly as possible; Diaries - maintain a diary for both yourself and Partner. Ensure both diaries correspond and all appointments with client and Court hearings etc. are noted in both diaries and advised to reception; Filing - maintain an efficient filing system - each file to be clearly labelled with client name, date opened and computer matter reference. All filing to be brought up to date daily; Database - ensure all client and matter details on the computer are updated as and when necessary; To keep yourself up to date by training; General - it is a general policy within the Firm that the client comes first. Consequently, there may be occasions when you are asked to assist in certain matters not stipulated in this job description. As a member of the Firm, you will be expected to help as and when required. Salary £15,000 to £18.000 depending on experience.
