Lead Designer

Our Bournemouth based client is looking to recruit a Lead Designer to work with its account management and development teams to produce creative, on-brand website concepts as well as ‘design for print’ excellence. You will also provide appropriate communications to clients and colleagues on each project’s status whilst ensuring the highest level of quality in your work. Along with your strong creative portfolio, you should have extensive agency experience in delivering superior, usable and visually stunning websites. All candidates are required to have a thorough knowledge of the latest Adobe Suite whilst also enjoying working as part of a team (or on your own initiative). Candidates must have experience in the following areas and be able to demonstrate their use: Advanced Adobe Creative Suite - including Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator; Experience of designing ‘on-brief’ websites; Working knowledge of web design best practices & usability; Understanding of the design for print processes; A natural flair and passion for creativity; First rate communication skills; Problem solving skills; Excellent written English; Brilliant time-keeping and organisational skills. Candidates with a background or knowledge of HTML and Flash would have an advantage, but this is not essential. You should be able to provide at least 3 examples of previous web design work from your portfolio.
