Technical Illustrator

Our client is currently looking to recruit a Technical Illustrator to be responsible for the illustration of technical publications for aircraft interior products. The successful candidate will be responsible for the production of a range of aircraft publications. These include airframe publications as well as off-aircraft manuals. Also responsible for the production of manuals to ATA100/2200 specification, to include airframe maintenance manuals, service bulletins and component maintenance manuals. Applicants must have a sound technical background in engineering (preferably aircraft engineering), a relevant technical illustration qualification and experience of isodraw. You must be Microsoft office literate, Interleaf/Quicksilver literate an advantage. You will be adaptable, have the ability to work in any Technical Publication disciplines and have a Full driving licence. You must be self motivated and capable of working within a team, a good listener capable of absorbing and interpreting information and you must be capable of clear verbal and non verbal communication. Our client is looking to recruit a Secretary. This is a maternity contract position for 1 year starting in November. Hours are 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday and parking is available. In this role you will be dealing with properties in the middle to upper end of the market, therefore previous industry experience would be beneficial. Alternatively, this role would suit candidates who have worked in a Solicitors office who understand the buying/selling process. You will be the first point of contact for any existing or prospective Buyers and Sellers coming into the office. You will be answering phone calls, meeting and greeting in a professional and courteous way, using the in-house system to load on new properties and applicants and generating letters and emails whilst matching applicants to suitable properties. Skills required: English, Maths and IT. Desirable qualifications: forklift licence. The job involves heavy manual handling, and duties include receiving goods in and storing in the warehouse (using a computer system to record deliveries), dealing with suppliers, undertaking monthly stock-takes and delivering goods to sites.
