Legal Secretary / Assistant

Our client based in Bournemouth is seeking a Legal Secretary / Assistant to provide support to fee-earners and provide support within the residential and commercial Conveyancing department. Previous legal experience is essential. Good Microsoft Word, experience on Paragon & Case management along with excellent communication skills and the ability to use initiative are also essential requirements. Key responsibilities will be to: Attend to clients to provide support in a professional and friendly manner in keeping with the Firm’s standards for client care; Prepare correspondence and documents through audio typing and word processing; Administer filing, which will include daily filing and the opening, closing, storage and retrieval of client files; Prepare mail and enclosures for dispatch; To arrange for all copying to be done on an ad hoc basis; Diary management - make appointments, arrange meetings and to maintain an up-to-date diary for the fee-earner; Undertake any specific training when required to do so and, overall, to have a responsibility towards self-development; Ensure the confidentiality of all the firm’s and client’ documentation and information.
